Leave Tottenham Court Road station and walk west along Oxford Street towards Oxford Circus. Winsley Street is on the right, just before you reach the Circus. If you would rather not walk, take the Central line one stop to Oxford Circus, which is about two minutes from our door.
Tottenham Court Road brings us people from the tech and media offices around the station, students and staff from nearby universities, and commuters arriving on the Elizabeth and Northern lines. Many come in with neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain and repetitive strain from a keyboard and mouse.
We take time to understand your work, your activity and your goals before we treat. You leave the first appointment knowing what is wrong, what we are doing about it and what you can do at home.
Coming from Fitzrovia? See our osteopath for Fitzrovia page for walking routes and appointment times.
Tottenham Court Road is one of the busiest interchanges in central London. If you arrive on the Elizabeth line from Paddington, the City or Canary Wharf, or on the Northern line from Camden or the south, you can change to the Central line for one stop to Oxford Circus, or walk along Oxford Street in around ten minutes. The walk is flat and direct, so it is a simple option if you have time.
From Charlotte Street or Goodge Street, walk south to Oxford Street and turn right. From Dean Street or Soho Square, walk north to Oxford Street and turn left. From Bloomsbury and the university buildings to the east, walk to the station and follow Oxford Street west.
Repetitive strain often builds slowly, starting as stiffness in the wrist, forearm or shoulder that eases overnight and then stops easing. Getting it looked at early usually makes it easier to manage. Your osteopath can treat the area, look at how you work, and suggest changes and exercises that fit into a busy day.
Do I need a referral? No. You can book an osteopath directly online or by phone on 020 3305 6186.
What should I bring? Any scan reports or letters you have, and a list of any medication you take.
Will I be treated on the first visit? Usually yes. Your first appointment includes a consultation, an assessment and treatment where it is appropriate.
We also see patients from Soho, Holborn, Covent Garden and the wider West End.
