From Cavendish Square, walk east along Margaret Street or along Oxford Street past Oxford Circus, and Winsley Street is the next turning on the left. Oxford Circus station is about two minutes from our door.
The offices, colleges and medical practices around Cavendish Square mean many of our patients here are desk based. The problems we see most are neck and shoulder pain, lower back pain and tension headaches from long hours at a screen.
We start by listening, then assess how you move to find what is driving the pain, not just where you feel it. Treatment begins in the same session, and you go home with exercises to keep things moving.
Cavendish Square sits just north of Oxford Street, and the clinic is only a few minutes away on foot. That makes it easy to fit an appointment into a working day without planning a journey. Many people walk over at the start of the day, during lunch or straight after work, and are back at their desk or on their way home soon after.
From Wigmore Street or Henrietta Place, walk to the square and follow Margaret Street east. From Holles Street, head down to Oxford Street, turn left and keep going past Oxford Circus until you reach Winsley Street. From Harley Street or Wimpole Street, walk south into the square and take the same route along Margaret Street.
Long hours at a screen often show up as a stiff neck, tight shoulders or a dull ache in the lower back by the end of the week. As well as hands-on treatment, your osteopath can suggest simple changes to how you sit and move during the day, and a few exercises you can do between meetings.
Do I need a referral? No. You can book an osteopath directly online or by phone on 020 3305 6186.
What should I wear? Something comfortable that lets you move. Your osteopath will explain what is needed before the assessment begins.
Will I be treated on the first visit? Usually yes. Your first appointment includes a consultation, an assessment and treatment where it is appropriate.
We also see patients from Harley Street, Marylebone, Oxford Street and Fitzrovia.
